Interesting. I would inform all of you that I have it on firsthand - meaning someone I know who very recently was in Afghanistan - that the Taliban - a word that, most perversely, means "student" - leadership, including Mullah Omar, are illiterate, almost not a soul with more than an elementary school education, if that much.

I just learned this a few days ago. Interesting that the national media has not covered this story. Perhaps it would be interesting to see how many Islamic clerics in the Middle East are illiterate...
