Well, it's somebody's job. So-called "Homeland Defense" is a joke. And yet here is a request to spend $30 billion. Accountability and responsibility is lacking, in this little dance the administration likes to do. The message is:"give us the money, don't worry, we'll take care of everything just fine, we don't have to tell you anything, trust us." Right. Just like the $30b /yr to the CIA took excellent care and feeding of terrorists, and did a fine job of detecting hijackers. Just like the $330b/year DOD did a fine job of forgetting to scramble fighters after an hour of hijacked planes flying around looking for large buildings to crash into. Leadership should all be investigatged, impeached, recalled, and fired.
