Checkfree does have more work to do to make the experience more user friendly for bill payers at brokerage houses, portals, and for that matter, banks. They need to feed the info from the bill pay site to Quicken or Money on your desktop.

I'm using Checkfree bill pay through Yahoo and have to make double entries -- one on Yahoo and one in Quicken. A couple times I have made an entry in one and forgot to post it to the other -- so far, I've managed to catch the error before either missing a payment, or overdrafting -- but, after catching the second error I know its just a matter of time until one gets by.

Sometime I am either going to switch to Quicken bill pay or else switch to MSMoney to do bill pay. That's the best way that I can see to avoid this kind of mistake.

I'll probably get around to it when an error slips by and I either have to pay a late charge for missing a payment I thought I made, or have to pay a penalty for an overdraft because I forgot to make an entry in Quicken. Then I'll have a financial incentive to make sure I don't repeat the mistake.
