clappy ought to be hittin' the road for drive time home about now, eh? On Fridays I try to beat the traffic. If I'm still there after 2:30 I get cranky... I was busy tinkering with the boat. I got all the old registration stickers removed and tried to figure out what all the "extra" blocks (pullies) are for... I sort of know what most of them are for but I can't figure out how the lines go for the up and down of the retractable keel. I have all the stuff that is required to repair the nics, scratches, and dimples in the top and bottom. I also have the paint. All I need is for the weather to be nice... It's going to rain for most of the weekend and my garage is too full to fit it. I have to go to work tomorrow anyhow, so it's just as well. I'm anxious to try it out. I got my wet suit hanging up and ready to go. The quicker I get the boat painted the quicker I can take it out. I've been sleeping and dreaming about sailing it. I think I've visited almost every website on the internet that has a picture of this class boat. I read up on how to trim the sails depending on the apparent wind direction. I learned a few more of the fancy sailing terms. I studied how to turn the boat using three different methods besides the rudder. I can't read enough about it. I have to learn how to navigate and figure out what are the faster angles to go. I bet I'm the first sailboat on the lake this year... I'm a kid with a new toy. -KidClappy
