Your "mopping list" might eventually include your current allies, your foul-weather friends, even Israel.... Err.. who's gonna succor the US in its worldwide, holy crusade against terror?

You're catching on, Gus! Here's another snippet to help you digest your new meal: the mission decides the coalition, the coalition doesn't decide the mission. That's been hammered upon repeatedly since the hawks won out over Powell. If you're in the way, you're off the boat! The administration has repeatedly and loudly said, much to the howling of the European mewlings, that we will go it alone if necessary. Was that a frat house panty raid on our effete Euro-buddies? Or elaboration of DOCTRINE?

In short Gus, you threaten us, and we're gonna cream ya. Period. Nuclear Posture Review, Gus - expanded First Strike with theater nuclear weapons, if necessary, to retaliate against any state or organization that dares use WMD against the US. Pause on that.

al Queda is the only non-state actor with global reach that poses an immediate threat. They're first. Iraq, Iran, and North Korea have been served notice they will not develop or distribute WMD or else. Who else is going to be stupid enough to stick their necks out, Gus? Abbu Sayyef? Done. Taliban? Done. Watch the scorecard.
