I'm thinking that we had a mentally ill person. Her husband knew she was mentally ill. He knew the stress of having a child every 9 months and being trapped at home with them was pushing her over the edge and he didn't care. He also did nothing to help like perhaps putting the children in day care to allow her a break. So I guess my feeling is that you had a mentally ill person who has tried to get help and has asked for help forced into the exact position that is causing her problems by an uncaring husband. I guess I think there is enough blame to go around that the death penalty shouldn't have been applied

Strangely my wife and I are on opposite ends on this one. She doesn't feel any sympathy for the women and thinks she should fry. Since I am usually the un sympathetic one who push's the death penalty it is strange:)
