Have you ever noticed how the NYT, WPO, Dan Rather, CNN, Tom Brokaw, and the rest of the left-wing media NEVER report about those incidents where hand guns were used to stop a crime? Those 1.9 million rescues per year are totally ignored. With all due respect to Todd Beamer for his heroism, 1.9 million rescues by handgun each year is a lot more people than he saved. They call this reporting the news? Noteworthy was the shooting in the West Virginia law school last year, where another student got a gun and put the killer out of business. The murders made the top national news, but how it was ended by an armed citizen rescuer, didn't get so much as a mention in the elite left-wing media. No wonder average people have such a distorted view about guns. The media only gives them one very small sliver of the story.
