Those examples aren't valid.
Those people that are killed the doctors, didn't do it in the name of Jesus, they're doing it because they think the doctors are killing people. They believe that a fetus is a human being. Both sides of the abortion issue have (IMO) equally valid points. I think people should make their own decisions about it, I don't think the government should pay one penny for it, and then if there's a GOD... then the people who did have one will find out when they get to wherever it is we go when we die, if they made a good choice or a bad choice. That's their problem, not mine. In the meantime, let them do what they want, it's their bodies. But I also think the father should have some imput, after all it's 50% part of him, too.
Bible thummpers. So..they pound the table about the bible. They're not advocating killing all non Christians, and ACTING on it. Yelling about the aids infected is just one of the ways that religious people try to use guilt to influence your behavior. It's the "God'll get ya" gambit. All religions do that.
Plain crazies. You can ignore them. You can't ignore the plain crazies of the muslim world because they'll burn down your house, kill you in the night, bomb you if you do.
And again, all religions preach you'll go to hell or their version of it if you don't behave nicely.
You missed the point. The muslim hasn't changed in 1200 years, Christianity has, there's no earthly reason for anyone to believe they'll change on their own in the next 1200 years. They weren't in another universe when the world changed around them. Their religion won't ALLOW them to change because the minute you speak out against it, you're killed. They eliminate the dissenters.........permanently. What's left is what you have now.
You claim that labeling an entire religion is morally wrong. Do you think that labeling nazism morally wrong? Do you subscribe to the idea that we shouldn't have defeated the Germans because there were a lot of "good" nazis, and because of that we should have left them alone? That these "good" nazis were hijacked by the "bad" nazis?
That religion is fundamentally flawed, it needs to be changed one way or another. I don't see them changing it themselves, therefore, I believe the rest of the world has to do it for them. |
