Deport them. You're worrying about yourself and not what's right and proper. If the price of lettuce rises because the wages paid rise to where they SHOULD have been then that's capitalism. It's showing you that these wages were artificially low. If they don't, then it shows you that you're incorrect in saying that these jobs wouldn't be filled.

Lead in gasoline was bad for the enviornment. We took it out, and we adjusted. We'll adjust to this too. Paper plants that pollute the streams, they say..we can't afford to do it right.. No...you should have never been allowed to do it that way in the first place. You don't make a car and not paint it. It's part of the process. The paper mills were just allowed to get away with not doing something that should have been part of the process. It's the same thing with illegals. The prices are artifically low because of them.

If you can't afford to buy the lettuce, then you'll just have to eat less lettuce, That's what capitalism is all about. Then the prices will fall until it reeches equilibrium.
