I'm not sure what you mean by "red zone", but the administration would love to clamp down on the Internet.

Look at the unauthorized biographies of Bush senior and junior, which have been pulled from publication in the US and abroad, but which appear only on the internet.

So would many large media companies, but haven't figured out how, yet.

So would Microsoft.

The government can, under certain circumstances, pollute or obstruct the internet, by stealth software, and by worldwide legislation against IP or encryption.

It is likely to fail, due to the emotional committment by a few thousand technical types who have the capability to create encrypted email and web channels.
