Sorry, I sort of disagree there as well. The fact is, American "culture" is the world's dominant culture (as unfortunate that may be). O.K. I hate to think of: McDonalds, KFC, Levis 501's or the Terminator as examples of American cultural hegemony, but I bet the rest of the world does. Remember, American culture is not oriented toward the elites, but the masses.

If you are saying that American Culture is in decline because it is becoming more base - more coarse, you won't find an argument with me.
