OT Digital Cameras: FWIW, great deal at Costco Wholesale now - $150. This is my first digital camera, just unwrapped it about 10 minutes ago and just took my first picture.

My thoughts:
- $150 at Costco for this Olympus brio zoom (3x optical + digital zoom) camera, comes with an 8MB SmartMedia card, an Olympus lithium battery (it also accepts AA batteries), has a self timer, a 1.5" color lcd screen, and is a 1.3 megapixel camera. It connects to your PC via a USB cable (provided). Also, it is very small, I believe it is smaller than similar Olympus cameras I saw in other stores which cost about twice as much.
- Prices are apparently coming down rapidly for digital cameras, and at $150, I think they have entered a price point where many more will purchase.
- I am amazed at how much camera I got for the money. On a more general note, I am amazed at some of these advances in technology, which continue of course during this downturn. Sooner or later this tech downturn has to end, and with products like this coming to market at these prices, I don't think it will be long - for the consumer side at least.
