>> What of women who choose not to have children, <<
often it is because they are selfish.
>> or can't? <<
well they can adopt.
>> Is it acceptable to you that at least these women have a life outside of child rearing? <<
i never suggested women couldn't have a life outside child rearing. but their responsibility to their family takes precedence.
>> Homosexuality may be repugnant to you, but does that give you the right to deny them the same rights that heterosexuals enjoy? <<
what "rights" are you referring to. are you sure you don't mean to say privileges?
>> marrying and the military? <<
marriage is an institution between a man and a woman. the military is not a social experiment, and homosexuality affects morale.
>> Pardon the insinuation that you are racist in addition to your anti-women's rights and homophobic <<
no biggie. i don't care if you think i am any or all of these things.
>> An increase in the rights of repressed minorities, be it race, sex, or sexual preference, is the right direction, IMO <<
how about increasing the rights of white, heterosexual males. is that ok? do you believe that it's right to discriminate against a person, in order to remedy past discrimination of another, by giving preference to yet another who has never suffered discrimination? that is what affirmative action often does, all in the name of civil rights progress. that doesn't seem like progress to me, that sounds like shifting discrimination to a different group of people. |
