On the notion of fires. I use to live in a ghost town(owned an old warehouse) in eastern Ks. Well, we heated an apt inside I build by a wood burning stove. I ran the pipe through the apt to catch the radiant heat. I've had a few fires inside there before. Not a real comforting feeling to wake in the middle of the night seeing your drywall glowing! Also I almost burned down an old band I once lived in. Different situation. Much more stupid and irresponsible. And there have been other close calls both before and after those I just mentioned. Yes, respect fire but harness it's energy and you can do aq lot with is. Probably the most exillerating element in my life right now. Well, actually that is the beautiful thing about ceramics. Just you and the basic elements. Earth, water oxygen and fire. Simply amazing. I m awe stricken every time I think of that. Really. Every time! Maybe today just isn't meant for wheel throwing. Also what is bothersome is when here I have to use a 28K dial up so it becomes a drag doing too much surfing on the web. But than again, I'm not here to play on the 'puter :)))) And I'm not too agile on this lap top keyboard!
