Eric, you seem to know alot more about UNIX than me. I am focusing on the bigger picture than focusing on having a software solution on the PC to provide the ability to access NFS files. With NTAPs solution U don't need any additional software on the PC. NT based PC's will use their native SMB file access protocol and UNIX stations will use their native NFS to access the same file on one platform. Eric, if you have a chance, take a look at NTAP and their technology and let me know what you think. Since this is a SUN thread, please post it under Network Appliance. Thanks dave
