Elmer, not in the Good old USA. It seems that all terms that indicate ethnic background can be taken the wrong way. The Jews I know don't find it offensive and the time I spent in Israel I found the term used freely. One can use the term Jew as derogatory if one hates Jews but it's not like using the term N*gger which has no other meaning but to degrade. When I visit Santa Cruz Ca I find the term "Male" used in a derogatory sense but not everyone hates men, only most of the Women. EP
