Then why does the NRA oppose registration of hand guns? If every law abiding citizen would register their gun, like they do their car, then guns could be tracked. Those responsible for getting the guns into the hands of criminals could be caught and put in jail.

We are currently tracking terrorists and where they get their support. We need to do the same, and find where criminals are getting their guns. The NRA needs to stop shielding these scumbags, and let the police do their job.
