Cabot's back touting the stock. It's one of the "momentum" picks in his latest (july 3rd) newsletter. Notice the comments about the Diode business as a greater focus than the networking! MRV COMMUNICATIONS (MRVC 30 OTC) - What can you conclude if, 4 1/2 years after a firm goes public, management still owns 39% of the stock? In MRV's case, you conclude that these insiders still believe there's great growth ahead! And as long as they continue to supply the demand for speed from telecommunications and network equipment manufacturers, they'll be right. This small, fast growing firm is the leading provider of the diodes that convert electrical signals to light (and vice versa) for fiber-optic and Ethernet networks. Fundamental growth is strong and steady. And the stock's RP line, which has been consolidating since the high-tech blow-off in May of 1996, indicates renewed sponsorship from investors who see a bright future in this young company.
