yeah.. you don't WANNA read all the posts. Lots of neat ones on there..people showing the great pics they took with their digi-cams.. and discussing some of the very pricey cameras. In fact, I gotta go read a mess of posts sometime soon as I'm in the market for a bit of new gear. But anyhow, people are posting all kinds of questions from simple stuff to discussing the really high-end cameras. Seems to be a good mix of posters, many of whom know a lot. I don't work with PCs much, so I don't really know anything much about the driver problem. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Mac person so I am not a good person to ask about that kind of thing. One thing I may mention to you though, is that digital cameras EAT BATTERIES ALIVE.. Seriously. My Kodak came with a set of rechargeables (it holds 4 batteries).... I have to recharge them just about every time I shot a bunch of pics. I think the HP315 only takes 2 batteries (??). You might just find that it has already killed the batteries if you were playing with it for very long. Someone I know got one of those and the same thing happened to them when they were playing around with it the first day. I think it says that you are supposed to use non-rechargeable batteries in it...or it doesn't say whether you should or shouldn't, but I would definitely invest in a couple of those and a charger if it were me... otherwise it will be a bit of a nuisance... Just my 2 cents worth.. All we use around here are rechargeables because I think it's better for the environment.
