Hi Peach, it was a really great performance. I realized that this Opera was the one that was portrayed in detail in the movie Amadeus. If you remember the Movie, Mozart's Patron's were interested in commissioning an Opera sung in German. The debate was if the German Language could be used to create the beauty of Italian Opera. Mozart was eager to write one to be performed in German, and set it in a Harem in Turkey. Interestingly, scholars now believe his middle name was Amande, which is how he normally signed it. He signed it a few times adding the eus, but it's now believed he did that to lampoon the period's fascination with all things Latin.
