The preliminary prospectus is on sedar but I haven't been able to see any indication of possible returns. I have calculated my own quickie guestimate based on info I have read but have no idea how accurate I might be.

Following is my guesswork

Issue size - I read Noranda expects to get about $400 Million net for the issue. Assuming they pay underwriters say 4-6% then issue total would be about around $416-424 million.

Cash flow available for distribution is estimated to be about $50 million in year one.

Based on the above it would seem that the rate of return would be close to 12% which doesn't sound to bad.

The key is the actual issue size I couldn't find an accurate amount just the comment about what noranda expects to receive.

If anyone gets better info please post.
