Actually I know of a message board that makes money, so I can't agree with you there.
And I will pay to get onto a site on the Internet, so I'm not with you on that either.
Yes, it's true, I tried one on my own. I failed utterly. I gave up totally and said to myself (this is me talking to myself here), "Self, (I said) what you should probably do is give up on whatever it was you were trying to do and then get whacked out and jump all up and down and antagonize anyone else that is trying to do something like that because they are all losers and it will never work."
And then I thought about it, and I thought, "Nah, only a fool would do that, and I am not a fool."
And about your "control your speech" silliness: Silicon Investor owns this site. They have rules, and you have to follow them or you can't be on the site. It's capitalism. It doesn't have a lot to do with the direct application of the Bill of Rights here. As a wealthy businessman, you of all people should know that.
It's supposed to be like some friends sitting around having a pleasant conversation. If some misguided one-eyed cowboy named "Limpy" walks in the front door and spits tobacco juice on the Giacometti sculpture, you just have him tossed out. He can scream all he wants about "free speech" but hey ain't stayin' in the dang living room. It's AMERICA!
Your "helping others" line was good. You may want to grab a dictionary and read over the definitions again, it's possible you missed one maybe.
I don't mean all this in a bad way. Just trying to help. |
