I once procured a firearm from the ATF for use in cone collection (to shoot cones down to test for ripeness) in my job as a government forester. It was confiscated from one of their subjects. The ATF has a tough job and an ambiguous mission spelled out in its title. I don't relish its task at all. I bought two firearms late last year and passed the instant check instantly. If the ATF comes knocking on my door merely because I applied to buy those two firearms, they've violated the Second Amendment. The reason I oppose these tracking databases is because I value my freedom more than my safety.
