I think Aztec practices might really reduce the attraction of a career in professional sports. It would be a chilling end to the Stanley Cup, wouldn't it ?

Actually, from the evidence, it looks as though the Stanley Cup participants are hell bent on suggesting (by their own deeds) that the Aztec practice be reinstated. It would probably be less violent to slice the captain of one team, as opposed to have half the field bleed to death as they try to smash each other's bodies through all that equipment. It seems somewhat inefficient, since hockey sticks are not sharp enough. In addition, aesthetically it would be better as you would have less players with half their teeth missing --not to mention their brains.

[You can always use Rugby [and the Aussies] as clear proof that brain death is no impairment to contact sport]
