Of course you wouldn't want to suggest that Christianity ever made a serious comment about Algeria being it's historic homeland. Jews such as myself know that ever since the Romans evicted us from our homeland some 2000 years ago, during Passover we conclude the service with the phrase "Next year in Jeruslsalem!" That ought to explain to some that Jews feel a relationship to Jerusalem that surpasses, America's affinity to NYC, Russia to Moscow, etc.
The Romans forced us to wander the world, but they could not and did not break the dream of living in Israel. You may be right that ultimately, the Muslim populations will force Jews out of our homeland. I would not be surprised to see Israel one day turned into a killing field with the Muslims killing every single Jew (and Christian) in the land. When that comes, one thing I am sure of, Europe will be silent, you probably will supply them arms to finish the job. |
