InfoSpace Increases Guidance For First Quarter 2002; Increase Attributed in Part to Better Than Expected Results From Its Merchant Business

BELLEVUE, Wash., Mar 18, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP), a provider of wireless and Internet software and application services, announced that it is increasing guidance for the first quarter of 2002 and now expects revenues to be $31 million with a pro forma net loss per share of ($0.02) to ($0.03).
This is an increase from the Company's initial first quarter 2002 forecasts of revenues of $28 million and a pro forma net loss per share of ($0.03) to ($0.04). InfoSpace attributes this increase in part to better than expected results from its merchant business.
