Corel is no more a viable company. Whether you go with .net/IBM web services/BEA web services XCML is a must.
There is noway you can equate .net and xml in the same breadth. There are other processes which still has to take shape that completes moving development into the hands of users as opposed to programmers. IT will become less significant to Business Processes.
