LOL. The reason I'm laughing was that until just recently I thought it stood for "good for you." I'm not sure what that says about my neighborhood.

Someone posted a link to X's profile. I looked at it and I didn't realize what it meant. Since it was in the company field, I thought it has something to do with X's employer (but I couldn't think of a company with the name or the stock symbol GFY and then I remembered that X was a teacher.

Rather then spend any more mental effort figuring it out I replied to the poster (or the link to X's profile) asking what it meant. Neo quickly responded and I went back to my post and edited out the question because I felt silly about not figureing it out right away (and also because I didn't need anyone else to answer).

That a minor weakness that I have. I get more upset then I should be when I say something stupid or unintentionally silly. Might have something to do with the earnestness that you pointed out more then once. I think I am getting better about it though. I am a lot more able to make fun of myself, or to laugh with others at a silly mistake that I made, then I used to be in my teens or twenties. I was pretty uptight about it back then.
