There are always articles claiming new disruptive technologies in storage that will send FC for a loop. Might happen, too. Ashok Kumar, for one, has for a long time said that FC is just a niche product. He hasn't been proven right yet, but he certainly hasn't been proven wrong, either. Time will tell.
Storage stocks are richly valued and some are far more richly valued than others. Still, lumping 'em all together as if they do the same thing is a mistake the market (and all of us) should try to avoid, I think, particularly with an investment horizon of more than one day.
As for me, I dunno from one day to the next what causes the big swings in some stocks. And sure, BRCD's move today could be directly related to the Andiamo news of last week, I suppose, but it doesn't seem likely to me. Nor, at the end of the day, does it really matter, I suppose.
