Well, isn't that special.
If, according to you, I limit my public rebukes to righties, then my affirming what you said must be very special, indeed.
I don't know where you got the impression there was some left/right bias in my occasionally taking people to task. Most of the time I just fuss at the thread, in general, for "food fights" and don't direct my comments towards anyone in particular. Usually, if I have a personal relationship with the poster, I make my comments by PM.
What provokes me is behavior that bullies, demonizes, or isolates a poster to a point that I consider more than simply rough and tumble. There's some nasty stuff going on around here and it would not be decent to just let it go--I'm a civic-minded soul--although castigating someone publicly is not my approach of choice. This particular example of "public castigation" started with you repeatedly asking what it was that warranted an apology. Once I figured out that X wasn't going to answer your question, I did, in an even and constructive tone. We could have left it at that. It didn't need to be a federal case. It doesn't need to be one now. I'm sorry that it developed into one.
