And if we can outlaw cigarettes and alcohol and marijuana and cocaine because the health care costs impact all of us than we MUST outlaw fatty foods, snow skiing, football, icy sidewalks, TV (leads to lack of exercise), good books (for same reason as TV), motorcycles, bicycles, mountain climbing...
Don't laugh. The trial lawyers have sniffed around in all of those areas, and more... If you want to know the trends in future regulation, one indicator is what the trial lawyers are focusing on. They're hand-in-hand with the Democrats.
Goes without saying that the trial lawyers are HUGE contributors to the Democrats, and that Democrat lawmakers are equally HUGE advocates of legislation that awards attorneys fees to successful plaintiffs, with no down side if they lose. |
