the only viable solution i see is a return to the heterosexual marriage-based family structure which traditionally underpinned our culture. when you have one or both parents that aren't around for their kids, they are naturally going to turn to something like drugs. of course we need to reinforce the positive family message by re-instituting morality based education. and yes, that can even mean prayer in school -- which is not unconstitutional, as many would like us to believe. if you really want to know what is unconstitutional, it's not prayer in school -- it's federal government involvement in schools. schools should be run by communities and parents and school boards -- not by george w bush's testing standards. we need to abolish the education department.
