Sorry, I did not mean to set a trap. I looked it up after posting the original question, and was surprised at the answer. That means each state would need a separate law banning felons from owning and possessing firearms. I assume they all do now, but couldn't find it. I think the paranoia about the ATF is way overdone. I say that the benefit, tracking criminals through illegal movement of guns, is more important than any harrassment possibilities. Are you saying that you won't put up with the possibility of harrassment in exchange for stopping criminals?
