Kennedy had come to realize that Viet Nam was a war that America wanted for selfish reasons was not justified and not supported by the Vietnamese people and that it was a lot worse than our military was posturing. He likely would have ended it before his second term ended or sooner. Of the course the military was making a lot of Officers and getting a lot of money so they liked the war. He also was about to restructure both the FBI and CIA for he realized they were totally corrupt and Hoover (America's little Hitler) was out of control and was about to be replaced. Additionally, the mob was not very enamored with he and Bobby's shakedown activity. Then he got plugged. Seeems all of these organizations were quite happy that Kennedy was gone.
