we shield ourselves for comfort in 3d
do you really want to know that your neighbor, who might be helpful, and fun at barbecues, is diametrically opposed to everything you believe in?
Do you want to know that your child's teacher thinks you are going to Hell for being Jewish, or Buddhist?
Do you want to know the politics of your mechanic?
The religion of your boss?
I would say no.
It is better to glide over the edge of these things- because life isn't usually a philosophical discussion, and most people don't know how to have one of those anyway, nor do they want to.

Those were rhetorcial questions, btw- I do not want to know
