SK Telecom Upgrades to Tekelec's EAGLE 5 Platform EAGLE® 5 SAS to Supply Signaling for the World's Seventh Largest Mobile Operator biz.yahoo.com MORRISVILLE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2002-- Tekelec (Nasdaq: TKLC) announced today that SK Telecom has upgraded to EAGLE® 5 Signaling Application Systems (SASs) and purchased the large system software feature, which enables the carrier to support more than 500 signaling links per network node.
SK Telecom is the largest wireless telecommunication services provider in Korea, serving more than 15 million subscribers. The purchase was facilitated through Mercury Corporation, Tekelec's distributor in Korea.
