As an investor, I like to plot a few moves ahead and invest according to a most-probable scenario. I agree that acceptance of the merger is a loose-loose for HP and CPQ, and a win for DELL, but what about the rejection of the deal? At best it would be business as usual for all parties - fight it out in the market place - where DELL has been winning anyway. I think that DELL might drop a bit if the deal is rejected. We would have both of them as competitors instead of just one.
