Dear loansharkie.... let me ask you a question... Would you buy used gold stocks from someone with a name like yours? (vbg)

The juniors that I used in my "860% average gain" calculation were FGX, RIC, MFL, ASM, SWG, CBD. Initially, I'd included PAA, but that went up almost 8,000% in the period so I decided it wasn't representative!

Just as a caution, they didn't all peak at the same point during that 3 year period, but if you were nimble you would have got these sort of gains. These are my core holdings -- together with BAY and HL -- although FGX is much reduced now I've sold most of it. ASM is a legacy from the past -- but it would still do very well in a silver bull market.

I also own quite a few more speculative stocks, but more for short term trading or "blue sky" purposes; e.g. MNP, ATN, PLY (back in recently), GAM (new today!), NGX, BGI, GNG, etc. I also have a couple of base metal plays that I really like: EZM and IP -- I need to be patient with these two, although with copper picking up who knows?

Just as a caution, I think that everyone has to invest according to their own tolerance for risk. Mine is very high, and I've been playing these markets for over 20 years, so I feel this is a reasonable pf for me. :^) Some I trade. Others are in waiting for THE BIG ONE!!! Hopefully I'll live long enough to see it. :^(

Regards,
Howy
