All I was suggesting is that there is a sleaze factor running throughout the financial sector, from the likes of Merill Lynch through Jeff Bruss. Both Bruss and Merill Lynch, I expect, hype cos that fail their investors even while the hypesters make money.

Bruss may or may not be worse than the others. I agree that his advice should not be trusted. But I don't trust brokers' advice either. Still if either Bruss or a broker called my attention to an interesting co, I might invest based on my own judgment, not on theirs. That's all I was saying. And I'm not sure why a co. hiring Bruss to promote its stock is so different from engaging an investment banking/brokerage firm. Either one has a conflict of interest.
