They already have to do this - why change with the merger? I am sure they have more important things about which to worry. Get a clue. So you suggest they alter their roadmap for a product that is little more than vapor at this point? HP develops their own chipsets. Should they develop a new chipset for Hammer? When should it be ready? Last year like AMD promised? This year like they promised or next year like they promise? Should they staff a validation team now or should they have done it last year? Maybe next year? I would like to remind you that HP got a good look at the Hammer specs, as did Compaq, and IBM and everybody else. They all said no thanks. Why do you suppose that is? They also got their hands on Intel silicon and Intel's roadmap. They all went Intel. Why do you suppose that is? Get a clue. EP
