Sorry I am so late responding RtS. It was more gut feel than anything else, a combination of all the things one hears. I may very well be wrong however (actually more doubt piling up as I read the Prudential Financial opinion below)

While February quarter results are tough to call, we are modeling for revenues to come in around $750
million (up 77% QoQ) and EPS of $(0.12) vs FC consensus of $(0.05). We believe that inventory levels
have been depleted as contract pricing steadily rose through the course of the quarter. While spot market
pricing has declined recently, we continue to believe that the mid to longer term fundamentals for Micron
and the industry remain quite good, with or without the Hynix merger. We expect that near term DRAM
spot market pricing could be volatile in this seasonally weaker time, but we would not be surprised if a
shortage situation emerges towards the end of the year given supply constraints. Micron is scheduled to
report its February quarter earnings after the close on March 21st. Reiterate Buy rating and $50 price
target
.

anyway we will all know tomorrow. Imo the share price will be more influenced by comments on guidance than the actual numbers for this qtr.
