Interesting thoughts about the wood burning stove conversion.
I know someone who might know a thing or two about that(I've personally never tried it).

I don't know what temps could be reached inside it with out more insulation, and to get any real temps something would likely be needed on the inside. Am I correct in assuming the inside wi just metal? I forget off hand the melting temps of suck metal, but anything over 1300°F might start to melt or at least buckle the metal.

If you do get it going, you might think about sticking a propane burner in it and converting that into a raku kiln.

THAT would be the route I would be looking at :))))))
