Actually, the two aforementioned memory technologies offer equal bandwidth - if you are talking about single channel configurations. With the former, you should have used 133x8x2 for 2.1GB/s. PC1066 is still 533x2x2 for 2.1GB/s for bandwidth.

Also, the new RIMM4200 standard is 533x4x2 for 4.2GB/s under single channel circumstances. The new Asus i850E based board will support this standard by wiring both memory channels to a single set of 32-bit RIMM slots, thus eliminating the need to "double up" on memory RIMMs.
