Project Will be Microsoft's Largest Active Directory Deployment to Date
ARLINGTON, Va., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Internosis, a privately held information technology consultancy, today announced that it is part of a team that has been selected by the U.S. Army to support the Army Enterprise Infostructure Transformation (AEIT), an initiative designed to transform disparate Army information systems and enclaves worldwide into a network centric, knowledge-based environment. The contract was awarded to Telos; Internosis will play a lead role as the architect of the Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory. Under the contract, the team members will provide technical services and support for the U.S. Army Program Executive Office (PEO) Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) Product Manager, Business Enterprise Systems (PM BES). The pilot will be performed initially at Fort Belvoir. Upon successful completion, the Army has the option to include an additional five locations within the Military District of Washington (MDW).
"Internosis is excited to be in a position to contribute to the Army's modernization efforts as part of the team guiding the optimization of its technical platform," said Bob Stalick, Internosis Chairman and CEO. "We look forward to applying our process-driven approach and deep knowledge of Microsoft-centric enterprise systems in the course of supporting this important initiative."
The AEIT MDW project team also consists of Telos as prime contractor, IBM, Advanced Technology Systems (ATS), NCI Information Systems, Inc., and Abacus Technology Corporation. Under the award, the team will provide all systems engineering and technical support services required for the on-site assessment, design, and implementation of Microsoft Windows 2000/Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2000, installation-level file, print, web, email server consolidation, and an operational Storage Area Network (SAN) solution. The team will be responsible for assessing the current MDW environment, architecting the new environment, conducting gap analyses, implementing the target environment, and training users.
