Scott, Hi!! RE: I totally agree that HP getting in bed with Compaq is a lose-lose for all involved (except folks like Carly, The I-Banksers and the lawyers). I have a close friend from Grad School at HP and he claims most employees are VERY UNHAPPY with Carly and her management team. I don't think the marketplace has been pleased with them either. Their lack of focus and distraction has helped DELL (and IBM) though...=) Awhile back I wrote about a parent of a boy that wrestles for us...He works and has for many years in East Fishkill...He has visited HWP for years and has made numerous friends there...Well, his sentiment is precisely what you are portraying above...
