The burgers are not grilled, but fed into their griller system on a conveyor that I doubt will be a separate unit from those that grill the meat.
Hmmm. Of course, this makes sense. I remember in my BK past that this is how the burgers were cooked. It would seem awfully expensive and space-consuming to have a separate conveyer grill for the veggie burgers.
I went back and checked the other board, and one poster said that her manager had told her that the veggie burgers would be "grilled" on a separate grill. I don't know whether this meant conveyer grill.
Another poster said that his BK manager had assured him that all of their veggie products (plural, meaning that there may be others to come) would be prepared in a separate area.
Tomorrow's the day that I'm going to experiment with my local BK, so I'll try to screw up my courage and ask how they're prepared.
BTW, someone on that board said that the BK veggie burgers were even on Paul Harvey today.
"This morning my Angel said that this has been the best day of her life. She slept so soundly last night on her Dux bed; she said "yummy, yummy" while gobbling this morning's Citrical, and then to enjoy the delicious decadence of a Burger King Veggie Burger for lunch, she said, "oh, joy! I feel like I'm going to live forever! This is the best day of my life! Except, my love, for the day I married YOU. This is Paul Harvey. Good day!"
Okay, I made up the transcript (can you tell that I dislike Paul Harvey?). But I DID hear that he talked about the Veggie Burger today!
