John, VIX as a buy signal can also whipsaw you. bigcharts.marketwatch.com example: Oct 2000. Re Short term it seems we could pull back quite a bit. I don't feel that way at all, but can't prove it. I doubt we'll see 45 again this cycle. The Feb SEMI bookings should bolster the support. Gottfried
