You actually think stocks cannot be undervalued?

Under your reasoning all stocks would simply immediately rebound to perfect fair market value - and one might as well just index everything. Optics buyers have been blasted into oblivion in the last year or so - and they are understandably shell shocked. The Optics sector arguably had the greatest boom and and the greatest crash- for real companies that is. Now I am not counting Dotcoms because most were venture backed illusions

For the all cash nonmargined INVESTOR who can buy and hold volitile sector stocks without folding (for example when presumptively collusive hedge fund type short attacks are launched on single stocks), companies like OCPI present enormous value - unless one believes Optics is similar to the horse and buggy at the dawn of the automobile age, circa 1900.

Optics will certainly revive at some point, and the risk/benefit equation appears quite favorable
