COGNICASE Wins Computer Support Services Contract from Revenue Quebec
MONTREAL, CANADA--MARCH 21, 2002 - 09:53 EST COGNICASE Inc. (TSE: COG, NASDAQ: COGI), an innovative IT solutions provider specializing in the development and integration of transactional solutions, today announced the award of a first contract with Revenue Quebec (MRQ). This two-year mandate is for computer support and project management services. The contract is estimated at more than $1.5 million.
COGNICASE consultants assigned to this project will work with teams from the Direction des methodes et des procedes (DMP), responsible for operating Revenue Quebec's computer systems. The Ministere has set up an internal team comprised of employees from various administrative units for a project involving online services to clients. The DMP will rely on COGNICASE's consultants to assist with current operations, by replacing internal resources assigned to the online services project.
More particularly, COGNICASE's duties will be to ensure the continuity of operations and to provide project management services for implementing scanning technology for personal income tax returns.
