Regarding the Vodafone U.K. contract, SMS services Infospace provides in general, etc..

Infospace's Investor Relations Dept. has told me that Infospace had no prior business relationship with Vodafone U.K., which means that Vodafone U.K. is Infospace's newest carrier client. Hopefully later on they will be able to leverage their relationship with Vodafone U.K. to upsell more wireless services. Getting Vodafone U.K. on board as a new client carrier is a very nice win for Infospace.

I also inquired about how Infospace is compensated for providing SMS messaging services. The answer is one of two ways: either on a per message basis or else the SMS services are sold to a client carrier as part of package of services for which Infospace is paid on a monthly per-subscriber basis. In Vodafone U.K.'s case, because Infospace doesn't provide the platform for the delivery of Vodafone U.K.'s wireless data services, I presume that they will be paid on a per message basis. Don't forget that Infospace has been providing SMS services to Orange, the U.K.'s second largest wireless company, for several years. H
That they now provide SMS services to the U.K.'s top two wireless operators speaks well of the capabilities of their SMS technology.

And last, I was told that the financial details of the eCash transaction will be disclosed in Infospace's upcoming 10-K statement, due to be released next week.

Best Wishes to All--

P.
